Ivanhoe Energy Inc. (USA) (NASDAQ:IVAN) surged 17.51% to $2.55 with 6.93 million shares being traded in the few minutes of opening trade. The stock also today touched the 52 week high of $2.81. Yesterday September 16, 2009 Robert Friedland, Executive Chairman, President and CEO of Ivanhoe Energy Inc. and David Martin, Chairman and CEO of Ivanhoe Energy Latin America Inc., announced that a new, independent review of earlier drilling has confirmed the world-scale status of Ivanhoe Energy Ecuador Inc.'s Pungarayacu heavy-oil field in Ecuador……………..
