Amazing…..BB&T Corporation (NYSE:BBT) climbed over 2.31% at $27.03 on 12.70 million shares. The 52 week trading range for the stock is $12.90 and $45.31. On August 17, 2009, BB&T Corporation reported that it has commenced a public offering of $750 million shares of its common stock. BB&T Corporation has granted the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 15% of the offered amount of common stock from the company to cover over-allotments. Credit Suisse (USA) Securities LLC and Deutsche Bank Securities, Inc. are acting as joint book-running managers, while BB&T Capital Markets is acting as co-manager for the offering.
